The name does not give full credit to this Chic Restaurant.  Most people envision a small clapboard structure with old metal signs advertising Coca-cola and being able to order “fried green tomatoes” from the kitchen.  WEll…………you might be lucky enough to get “fried green tomatoes”, but with a real flair.  Yes, Cafe 30A is much more than you can imagine.  The food has a great Southern attitude, with a New York presentation.  The building is a Southern Venacular design which makes you feel immediately comfortable , yet you know you are not in a Cafe. 

Her bar offers a huge variety of Martinis, and there are nights when she features a specially concocted Martini………

Harriet Cromlin, the owner of the restaurant, has achieved a warm and classy atmosphere for the beach crowd.  You could wear your flipflops in her restaurant, but rest assured, they will be classy flipflops.  Usually, you will see Harriet’s customers in attire which I call uptown beach casual.  She has such a great reputation, that I have even known customers who travel from Dothan Alabama ( approximately 2 hours away) , just to come for dinner.  Cafe 30A is one of my favorite “beach dressup” restaurants, where I know I can enjoy a fabulous meal, great martini, and see my friends.
