We could not have begun spring any better! The weather has cooperated and all is great.
What makes the 30A area one of the best spots for families to come during spring break? We all seem to think that the atmosphere here is one of the drawing points. You can enjoy our area, whether you do it up big with a spectacular rental house in Watercolor, Rosemary Beach or Seaside or a sweet small condo in Blue Mountain Beach or Gulf Place.
This area provides lodging and food for all budgets along with basically free recreation. You can bring your own bike, or rent one from the many established bike rentals, and enjoy the soft breezes and warm sunshine as you peddle on the wonderful bike trail that takes you from the western end of 30A to the eastern end of 30A.
Another “freebee” is our gorgeous emerald green water and white sand. Bring along a chair and perch yourself in the sand and sit and relax………just enjoy what God made.
Every year I forget how beautiful spring can be, with the glorious warm days..and the chilly nights. The beautiful wildflowers such as the wild rosemary are in bloom and you can begin to hear the frogs starting their evening symphony.
Scenic Hwy30A never ceases to amaze me. When I travel along and pass Western Lake , as I head into Watercolor, I never tire of the view. Depending on the time of day, it can have a mist of fog slowly rising from the water, or a vibrant and firey sunset. Many times, I can find people stopped and out of their cars trying to capture that moment on film.
If you are reading this and have never been here, all I can say is “do yourself a favor” and take a trip to our little paradise. You will get hooked and maybe, just maybe, I might see you stopped at Western Lake one day.
