I see that Destin Magazine has proclaimed Destin as the “GEM” of the Emerald Coast.
I would have gone for Emerald City myself.
And what about Santa Rosa Beach?
How about the “Rose” of the Emerald Coast. Sweet and attractive.

For all you fellow chip and dip F i e n d s out there who could nosh till you drop , check out the Guacamole that is made table side. It is very chunky and the chips although tasty are barely thick enough for the task.
They describe the two dips that come with the chips as “hot” and “cold” dip.
The hot tastes like soup (indian Dal) and the cold like a medium Salsa.
The cheese queso is mucho thick and tasty.
Pacifico is my beer of choice for this “lunch” chip - up and save calories!
Cheers ,
Shawn

What a name………what’s in a name?
At First glance, you would probably turn up your nose (no pun intended) at the mention of the word “stinky”, but folks, take notice. Stinky’s Fish Camp is one of the newest and hottest eating establishments that has hit 30A in a long time.
It opened in the spring of this year (2007) and there has been standing room only since. If you are looking for local wonderful seafood…..look no further. This chef has perfected the oyster, the crayfish or is it crawfish…..[can someone send me the correct spelling of this little critter?] and many other interesting local delights.
This unpretentious but fabulous eating establishment is located on 30A at the western end of 30A near what used to be the Lake Place. You don’t want to miss this one.
Until later…………

Every first (1st) Friday, you will see an interesting event take place in the artist colony of Seaside Florida. The art galleries put on a wonderful exibition for local aritist along, with food, drinks and a local band.
Quincy Toy Store is taking it a step further. THis coming First Friday (July 6th) will be for the young artist. Quincy’s staff has developed budding young artists within their family and they are going to showcase this developing art. Take your time to come out and view our young people’s creations. You might even get lucky and be able to purchase an interesting piece. I found a young girls artwork last First Friday and have it hanging in a special place in my Picasso Moon for all to view.
